Grant Application Information

Important Change for 2010

All prospective grant applicants must complete and submit a Project Proposal Form in order to be considered for funding. The proposals will be reviewed and those that rank highest will be invited to submit an application for possible funding.

2010 Grant Application and Funding Process

1.     Read the Grant Guidance Document and Application Instructions.

2.     Contact a Nonpoint Source (NPS) staff member to discuss your potential project.

3.     Submit Project Proposal Form by Feb. 1, 2010.

4.     A NPS staff member will contact you to discuss your proposal.

5.     Feb. 1 to March 3, 2010 -- proposal review and selection.

6.     Upon invitation, develop application -- consult technical support documents on "What is the condition of my stream?" Web page to help develop your application.

7.     March 24, 2010 -- informational training session for applicants.

8.     Submit application. Application must be postmarked by midnight April 26, 2010. If delivered by hand, application must be received by 4:30 p.m. ET April 26, 2010, at the Division of Water, NPS Section, 200 Fair Oaks Lane, Fourth Floor, Frankfort, KY 40601.

9.     May 10 to June 15, 2010 -- project review and selection.

10.  Oct. 1, 2010 -- expected receipt of grant from the Environmental Protection Agency.

11.  Contract written and executed.

12.  Project begins.
