The Kentucky Division of Water unveiled this new design for its Web site on January 17, 2005.  The site is best viewed using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5 or above with a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 (see Changing Your Screen Resolution for help). MacIntosh users should visit Microsoft's Mac Download site for information about upgrading their browsers.

The new site organization is driven by functions and programs, rather than by the organizational structure of the agency.  We believe this will make it easier for those who are unfamiliar with our internal structure to find what they need on our site.

Hints for finding information on this Web site:

Clicking on items in the navigation bar to the left will reveal listings of information below them.  The Search utility in the upper right-hand corner will search only the Division of Water Web site for whatever information you are attempting to locate.  Also check "Topics on This Site" in the right-hand box on the Home Page for another way to locate information.

Why we made this change:  

• We wanted to make it easier for people to find the information they need. 

• We wanted our site to be fully accessible to people with disabilites.  This new site meets the requirements of the federal Americans with Disabilities Act.

• We wanted to be sure our content is always up to date.  To accomplish this, we have implemented an entirely new content management system to help us ensure you have the most current information available whenever you visit this site.

The new site features several tools we believe help to accomplish these goals:

• A powerful search engine that is available at the top of every page.

• A new navigation menu that we hope better reflects the needs of the users.
