The city of Nicholasville asked its water customers yesterday to voluntarily restrict outdoor water use.
The city has customers in Nicholasville and in parts of Jessamine and Fayette counties.
Customers are asked to restrict outdoor watering to between 6 and 8 a.m. and 6 and 8 p.m.
Nicholasville pulls water from Pool 8 of the Kentucky River. That's immediately downstream from Pool 9, where Kentucky American draws water.
